Congrats, Mats & Sara!

ImageMany of you know that I am a huge fan of Sara Elfgren and Mats Strandberg’s Engelsfors series that started with Cirkeln. Well, 30,000 youth voted and their choice was clear: Eld is was voted the best YA book of 2012 for Bokjuryn. I am so happy for them!

I first heard about the Engelfors series from my dear friend Pär, who designed the cover. Pär did such a good job of filling me in on the plot that I knew I had to read Cirklen. Since then, I’ve been hooked. 🙂 If you aren’t fluent in Swedish, get Cirkeln in English. Eld, or Fire as it’s known in English, will be available in English translation in September of this year and it’s definitely worth the wait! Pre-order it if you can. 🙂

Congratulations, Mats & Sara! You two deserve this honor for your amazing book! 😀

For my Swedish readers: Get ready for Eld!

You might recall my talking about Cirkeln, a Swedish YA paranormal novel by Sara B. Elfgren & Mats Strandberg that was a real page-turner. I loved it–well now the next book in the series is available for pre-order here in Sweden and I can’t wait to read it! I don’t usually read Swedish books. I usually get bored or switch to an English book after a while but that didn’t happen with Cirkleln. The pacing was great, the story was thrilling and the characters all had fantastic arcs to follow. I must place my order…I must read Eld! For you curious English speakers, I’ll send an email to the authors and find out when it will be available in English… 🙂

Cirkeln will be available in English in June of this year under the title The Circle. I think you’ll like it! 🙂

And if you’re in Sweden and you want to go to the midnight launch, go here.
