About Kim

I’m an American living in Stockholm, Sweden. Reading is one of my passions. I work as a copywriter for a cosmetics company. When I’m not working, you’ll find me hanging out at Tegnérs Gömstället, Kafé Sjöstugan or in my little home office working on my novel.

I write multicultural women’s fiction with romantic elements for women who know that love comes in many colors.

  1. Dear Book Reviewer,

The new Author E.M.S. website (http://www.authorems.com) is launching a searchable Database of Online Book Reviewers (DOBR). We would love to include information about your reviews on this database.

    Benefits to your site/blog:
    – free added visibility and name recognition
    – time saved by receiving relevant review requests instead of answering questions for dozens or hundreds of authors

    Benefits to authors:
    – the ability to search for blogs by genre, length, format and learn vital statistics and relevant contact information
    – time saved by not researching all review blogs

We’d like to invite you to fill out a detailed survey so we can build an accurate profile of your site/blog. Once the database launches (ETA: Oct. 2011), we will contact you twice per year for updates or you may contact us anytime with new information and we’ll input it immediately.

If you’re interested in participating, please reply to this email by August 12, 2011 and we will send you the information to access the survey on our website. We also welcome any questions you may have.

Thanks for your support of authors, readers and great books!

  2. Hi Kim,

Just wanted to let you know I nominated you for a Kreativ Blogger Award, if you want to accept it it’s here:

I really enjoy your site with all its book tips, notes on writing and now your path to publication.

  3. Hi Kim,
Just saw you at Goodreads “Authors/Readers” discussion group. I’m fairly new to Goodreads as well as all things published. I see you write women’s fiction as well as review books. Would you consider reviewing an historical romance? My first published novel: Threads of Betrayal is set in the Civil War era. One of my “threads” is the Underground Railroad. It’s not central to my story, but plays an important part. Anyway, good luck with “The Melanie Chronicles.”

  4. Hi Kim. Jag badde i Malmo for lange sedan…I lived in sweden from 1981 to 1986 🙂 I am here spreading the Karma for the blog chain. I would love to offer you a pdf. copy of THE BRIDGE OF DEATHS you may well find the Scandinavian angle interesting!

  7. Hi Kim – I find it serendipitous to have stumbled upon your wonderful blog. I am a Norwegian, living in the US. 🙂

How are you liking it so far? What do you find are your biggest challenges?

I would love the opportunity to work with you on your future cover needs. If interested, please feel free to email me at anita@race-point.com.
    God Jul! 🙂

    • God Jul, Anita! Thanks so much for your message! Where in the US are you? Funny how the internet is bringing everyone together. 🙂

I’ve been in Sweden for almost 20 years so I am pretty used to being here now. I think the hardest part is dealing with the winter darkness. It eats away at me and wears me down. I just have to distract myself. 🙂

Have you got a website where I can see your portfolio? 😀

      • Yes, I remember the darkness very well. I used to love it as a child, but not sure I would enjoy it as much now either.

I am currently on the east coast in the Greater Boston area, but I also lived in northern California for 10 years prior to moving over to New England 12 years ago. I’ve been here almost 23 years.

Whereabouts in Sweden are you located? I grew up in a town only 45 minutes from the border and have been visiting many places throughout the years. One of my favorite shows growing up was watching Saltkråkan, do you know it?

My portfolio is located on my wordpress blogsite at:
I LOVE creating photo based concepts and digital image manipulation.

Wishing you a wonderful Christmas Kim!
        Jule kram ifra Anita 🙂

  8. Hi Kim. You have a great blog and I love your line, “love comes in many colors”. Perhaps you would be interested in reviewing a contemporary romance set in India? You can check out some of the reviews on goodreads https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/17903685-the-indian-tycoon-s-marriage-deal. If you are interested do drop me a line. I’ll be happy to send you a pdf or epub copy of my book. Look forward to your reply. Many thanks! Have a wonderful day!

  9. Hey Kim! Can I interest you in my audiobook? It’s about a struggling artist who gets a lifetime commission, but discovers his perfect patron has ulterior motives. It’s very different, it’s very fun, it’s very free. My wordpress site has all the details.
