Now that the dark days of autumn are creeping up on me, I think it’s time to make a preliminary list of books I plan on reading. I still have one book left from the summer (Sag Harbor by Colson Whitehead) but it’s not really pulling me in yet. I would like something to creepy to read–so fitting with that hillside bathed in shadows just behind my apartment. I really need to use it in something I write.
So here are a few of the books I am thinking about buying this autumn/winter:
- Room by Emma Donoghue
- Red Hook Road by Ayelet Waldman
- Little Bee by Chris Cleave
- The Prince of Mist by Carlos Ruiz Zafón
- A Mercy by Toni Morrison
- Substitute Me by Lori Tharps
This list will grow. I am still trying to figure out what I am in the mood to read. If anyone has any suggestions, send me an email at kimtalksbooks AT gmail.com or leave a comment here on the blog.
I’ll be back tomorrow with a book review. 🙂
